Message from N.Y.S.D.O.A President
Since 1993, N.Y.S.D.O.A., has supported D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Officers through annual training conferences and new materials. An advocate for law-enforcement in schools and community policing at the local and the state level, N.Y.S.D.O.A. has served its membership well.
I am proud that N.Y.S.D.O.A. has recently been designated as the D.A.R.E. Training Center for New York. We are one of only two Officers' Association in the United States to serve in this capacity. The selection process has been rigorous and we are pleased to meet high training standards.
Additionally, over the past two years, N.Y.S.D.O.A. has assembled a training team that is second to none. We have positioned ourselves to offer DCJS approved training (SRO, IDS, Active Shooter) and are able to provide customized training to meet the needs of our members.
We are extremely pleased to be working with representatives from New York State Sheriff's Association and Chiefs of Police in New York to establish a State Training Advisory Board.
